JOB SUMMARY-Landscaper Supervisor: is responsible for overseeing landscape maintenance operations, ensuring that grounds are kept in pristine condition, and supervising a team of landscapers and maintenance workers. This role includes planning and coordinating daily tasks, managing resources, and providing on-site training to maintain safety standards and best practices. The Supervisor ensures all landscape areas are healthy, attractive, and meet company or client specifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, train, and supervise a team of landscapers and maintenance personnel.
  • Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Oversee daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, pruning, planting, and irrigation.
  • Inspect grounds regularly for potential issues, such as pest infestations or plant health concerns.
  • Ensure proper use of landscaping equipment and tools.
  • Develop work schedules and assign tasks to team members.
  • Coordinate with clients or management to understand project requirements and deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks based on urgency, seasonality, and weather conditions.
  • Manage inventory of materials, including fertilizers, seeds, plants, and tools.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure all machinery is in good working condition.
  • Coordinate repairs or replacements of tools and equipment as needed.
  • Ensure all landscaping work meets client or company quality standards.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify the completion and quality of tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma preferred.
  • 5+ years or more landscaping experience.
  • Proven experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plants, landscape techniques, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions from Manager and see task done with team.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Always provide professional customer service, communicates proficiently.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • Basic repairs with up to 2 inch of piping.
  • Trouble shooting irrigation problems.
  • Operate lager vehicle like loaders, high reach, forklifts etc.
  • Horticultural certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Must be able to sit, bend, crawl, kneel, and reach.
  • Must be able to traverse worksite in different types of weather.
  • Must be able to navigate uneven terrain.
